Happy Birthday, Joanie! Do keep shining your joy and kindness. It helps all of us! Much love.
You look gorgeous! I wish you and your family the very best in 2023. Love, Amy
It was so sad to learn of Vivien's passing. Vivien was a lovely and caring friend, who had a delightful sense of humor and a positive outlook on our adventures. I remember spending sweet afternoons in her bedroom considering the latest fashions. The sun would stream in the windows, which fit her personality perfectly!
Pamela Cantor’s lovely and poignant description of experiences with Diana echoed mine almost exactly (except for the leotards). Throughout all of our years as friends from high school up to the present, Diana was a dear, honest, attentive, gracious, and loving friend. Each visit, each email was an event. Yet on a larger scale, at no time did Diana miss the mark. She lived all of her life consciously, appreciating what had been offered and giving back in full measure through her multiple talents of dancing, writing, painting, and her exceptional gardening. When a life-threatening disease challenged her, she faced it with square shoulders and with great fortitude did all she could to fight it. Recently, Diana sent an announcement to her friends that current tests revealed a pause in the disease’s lethal progression. As we all breathed a sigh of relief, Diana in true form ended the email with wry humor (and I paraphrase) “At least this year my name will be written in the Book of Life.” And so, I didn’t expect her passing to be this soon. As for her name, we can continue her wish and say her name in prayer, conversations, and in thoughts. And, we can do it forever.
Happy Happy Returns of the Day as Pooh would say! Have a very wonderful day and year. 71 has been a great year so far. We are in Naples for the 5th May in a row and are enjoying it as always -- sunny and yummy!! Did Noto, Sicily for April. It was lovely but not a repeat location. Padua next spring and perhaps Barcellona or Paris for April. Bali instead of India for 2015 winter months. What are you up to? Write = drreinisch@aol.com. Hope to see you at a Great Neck Girls Luncheon Club meeting this summer. Hugs, JUNE Reinisch
