I used to run into Margaret at the supermarket. We had recently seen each other and planned to get together for lunch when I heard she had died. It was shocking. Her dad, Professor Irwin Corey, is quite a character and perhaps, like him, Margaret had her own very original take on the world. I used to carry around her "business card"--Margaret Corey, Suburban Housewife. She is missed.
I know Margie died quite a while ago but I still think fondly of our times together. We were good friends in high school and I knew her parents and brother well. She was a 'one of a kind' person', spontanious and fun. I am sorry she is gone.
Maggie and I were good friends in the Drama Dept. at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh. We remained friends when she was living in Manhattan in the East 30's. She was funny, original, spontaneous, creative, honest and kind. She was a gem. I'll always remember her with love.
