Barbara and I were best friends through high school along with Ruth Simunek, Carole Jameson and others. We always had a good time going shopping to the Great Neck Department Store, Rhoda's, and A&S with a final stop at Squire's for lunch. She had a bubbly personality and I remember her brother, Warren (aka the Warrs), her mother and father fondly. I also knew her husband briefly and am sorry now that we lost touch.
Barbara lived around the corner from me and we were good friends. She even visited me in California for a weekend after I was married. It's hard to believe she is no longer around. I would have loved to see her at the reunion but instead I can only think of her with happy memories.
