ROBERT EISENBUD

Robert "Bob" Eisenbud passed away peacefully on November 12, 2011. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Mandell; his nephew, Kenneth Mandell, and his niece, Jessica Curley.

Bob enjoyed a long, satisfying and productive career as an attorney specializing in marine and environmental law. During the last 20 years, Bob served as the Vice President for Federal Public Affairs at Waste Management, Incorporated. Prior to that, Bob served as Chief Counsel for Maritime and Oceans Policy for the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, General Counsel to the Marine Mammal Commission, Special Counsel to the Environmental Defense Fund and Greenpeace International, consultant to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and Program Director of the National Parks and Conservation Association. When not at work, Bob's happiest moments were while fly fishing, particularly when accompanied by his yellow lab. He was an avid reader and student of nature. Bob will be remembered with love and admiration by his family, friends, coworkers and all whose lives he touched.

A memorial service will not be held. However, donations to honor Bob's memory may be made to the Southern Policy Law Center or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International.
